I discovered the book the 4-Hour Body a year ago. It is the diet that I’ve loosely followed for the past year and has made huge changes in the way I fuel my body. I have never struggled to maintain my body weight. So when The time came to head to animation school, I was ill prepared.
I knew nothing about nutrition
I thought that as long as my body felt full, I could make it through the day. Part of my diet for a while was actually something called a Full Bar. The sole purpose of it was to make your body feel like it could go longer without eating. I ended up starving my brain and ended up being prescribed medications for focus. I am confident now that I needed these books back then. If you are looking for a reason you are falling behind your peers in the learning process, consider your diet may be part of the problem!
This guy studied how different diets affected his body. This is the one he settled on for optimal energy and performance. It is trimmed down to the essentials of what your body needs and nothing more. For the animation student who has little time on their hands, it’s important to give your body what it actually needs. This book outlines that.
Not the most exciting diet, but you are allowed one cheat day. In that day you can get all your cravings in and eat as much junk or fast food as you want. Pretty perfect.
