Back in December I decided to go off of my antidepressant medications. Since then I have learned a lot about facing the label of depression. I have had ups and downs. I’ve cried a bunch. This entire journey began for me while in my first year at Ringling. I started taking Prozac as prescribed by a therapist on campus. In my junior year I sought help from another professional and was put on Pristiq and different ADHD medications! From 2010-2016 I had been on an antidepressant. I took a video shortly after deciding to come off of my medications.
I’ve learned that you need to have time to work on yourself and your health. I am happy that I had the support of serotonin boosts while in the last two years of college. It’s been a long road for me, but if you can relate I would love to hear from you!
In the following YouTube video, I discuss my plan for living naturally happy. I refer to the 4 Hour Body, which I have reviewed on my website and highly recommend. Since making this video I have had a huge struggle with sugar. My determination to exercise isn’t always the best, but I love the clarity that I have had since moving towards a more natural diet. I can only imagine that I would have had better memory for what I learned in school as well.
I recommend making changes while in a more stable time of the year, pretty much any time outside of college.
