it can be done fully raw kristina

Kristina Carrillo-Bucharam started out her journey to share her passion for raw vegan food after discovering it was the best treatment for her Hyperglycemia. She was 18 years old when she met her mentor in a grocery store. She was thin, weak, hospitalized and about to not graduate high school. She made her health and her body her main priority and developed a passion that led to a successful online career.

Often when we work the 9-5 we run into problems in life, such as health issues. Continuing to work 40 hours a week may not always be the best option. It usually feels like the only option. This woman is an example of what happens when you prioritize properly and put yourself first. I wish I knew how she supported herself through it all, but we can look at some ways that she is thriving today.

Also, I want to clarify that the reason I focus on how they make money is not because that is the most important part. It is because each online entrepreneur is so different in their individual journey to success. The one thing they all have in common is that they have established revenue streams based on their own passion. This is what allows them to keep following that passion without dividing their attention to a full or part time job. The end goal of this series is that we all learn more about how we can follow our passions full time.

screen-shot-2016-10-17-at-1-08-45-pmKristina’s channel must have started out somewhere else. Her first video posted on March 20, 2012 was a TV interview where she explained that she shares recipes on youtube. Her youtube channel is popping with vibrant colorful fruits and veggies from the very beginning.

On May 14, 2012 she held a fully raw recipe competition and gave away a Vitamix blender. This helped drive traffic from her youtube to her Facebook page, where the contest was held. On Sept 29, 2012 she did another giveaway. She actually gave away 3 this time, she gave away 10 E-Books prerelease, and the grand prize got a featured video on her channel. This time it drove traffic to Facebook and got her email subs. Also, promoting her new Ebook.

Dec 22, 2013 She announced a new challenge. A 21 day fully raw challenge. The prize was a free ebook to everyone who submitted their email AND commented and liked EVERY video of the challenge. WOW. That’s quite the boost!

Here’s one of her videos that I really enjoyed.

Her playlists don’t reflect these categories, but there are a few ways to break down what she vlogs about:

  • Recipes
  • Why?
  • How?
  • What I ate today
  • Body talk & Exercise

Here are a selection of her videos with over 500k views! Things to look at here are topics & titles. Thumbnails are also important to dive those clicks home.

Kristina doesn’t waiver from her theme of raw fruits and veggies. Despite making money online she doesn’t ever discuss her online success. This is something I notice other channels doing at some point or another. I think it is a nice choice that she is dedicated to one purpose and doesn’t get distracted by the interest of others.
